Through this research, I have learned about why so many young Christians want to go on mission trips and have been struck by their desire to “serve.” Yet, as a geographer, I am concerned by their lack of knowledge about the people and places they visit.

“I can’t believe God is going to use our love of the outdoors, nature and hiking for His glory,” Norris said. “It’s humbling to think that God may use us to share the gospel with people who have never heard.”
It’s not that we can’t find joy in other things. We should find joy in all the gifts of God. It is that if we are not satisfied in God first then we won’t have complete joy in anything.
To date, more than 5,550 of the United Methodist Church’s approximately 30,000 U.S. churches have disaffiliated from the country’s second-largest Protestant denomination since 2019.
The global Church is made up of many churches in many denominations. Heaven is not reserved for Southern Baptists alone, but the actions and words of some at the SBC annual meeting suggest that they do not believe that.
“I believe in the sanctity of marriage, but I know sometimes in our churches people wind up in biblical divorce. But we don’t throw divorce parties at our church, OK? And whatever these results are, I’m asking you: Behave like Christians, OK?”
