Tightly gripped church pews
Remember your story and rejoice in the gift of salvation — no matter where you stood before you knew Christ.
Remember your story and rejoice in the gift of salvation — no matter where you stood before you knew Christ.
What practice could you add to your routine that would allow you to worship God in a way that is specific and meaningfully for you?
In the beginning, God worked. And then He rested. Hebrews 4:9-10 says, “There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God; for anyone who enters God’s rest also rests from their works, just as God did from His.”
Forgiveness is deciding that you will not allow that hurt to control your life. It’s also about letting someone, or something, leave your life to allow healing to begin.
Let that be our prayer so when others ask, “By what power, or in what name, have you done this?” like the elders did in Acts, the first words we speak are the gospel of Jesus Christ.
There’s one thing that truly never changes — God never changes. His love for us never changes. Jesus’ sacrifice for our sins will never change — it will never not be enough.
A glorious aspect of God is that He not only reveals Himself to us, but also grants us a community in Him that points us back to Him. Intergenerational relationships are a way we can continuously be drawn back to the splendor of God.
When I begin to trust instead of demanding an answer, truly trusting Him as my Creator, I have peace knowing no matter how the answer looks or when it comes, it will be from Him.
