The International Mission Board recently had a conversation with Tom Hicks, the IMB’s new director of global healthcare strategies, during the International Baptist Hospital Consortium in Southeast Asia. This is the first year the IMB has facilitated this meeting.
Only one in five U.S. Christians agree that “AI is good for the Christian church” — 30% strongly disagreed with this statement. Still, 27% stated they “don’t know,” indicating they are in a wait-and-see mode, continuing to assess the value of AI.
For two years now, almost every church in America has been holding in-person worship services, but not every pre-pandemic worshiper has returned.
“We are basing our message on hope and telling people not to give up because God loves them, and they will one day live in peace and rebuild their lives,” he said. “The majority of churches here are also helping those who have fled the conflict to grow crops to feed their families and earn an income.”
As I close in on a big milestone birthday, I figured I’d celebrate by doing what I’m sure most people do — run my first 50K ultramarathon …
“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us” (Hebrews 12:1).
