Have you ever had one of those weeks that just makes you mad and sad (or “smad” if you are a Gilmore Girls fan) all at the same time? This week has just not gone my way.
My mom used to tell me that people let you down and situations don’t go the way you want, but you just have to buck up and get through it.
Guess what? That doesn’t make me feel any better. It hurts when people let you down or when relationships are lost. It’s sad when situations don’t go the way you want them to. It’s maddening when one thing after another goes wrong and you can’t find the bright side in anything.
Here’s the thing, everyone goes through times like that. Some people might experience it for a day, others a week, some people a year. You aren’t alone if you’re feeling smad.
So if you are in the same boat I am, listen to sad music and eat lots of junk food. Watch movies that will make you cry, and hang out with people who will cry with you.
Eventually I am going to buck up and things will start to get better, but it is not going to be this week.
