
First person: Why are there so many today who cannot find faith?
I want to encourage anyone who feels discouraged because of having made unsuccessful attempts to follow Christ. In and of ourselves we cannot follow him; we are all equally unable.

As much as we wish for peace in our lives, this world doesn’t accommodate. There are times we will have to step out of our comfort zone and do the hard thing, the thing we never want to do.
“Where You go, I’ll go. Where You stay, I’ll stay. When You move, I’ll move. I will follow.”
Seventy percent of Americans agreed the U.S. Constitution would not allow “the U.S. government to declare the United States a Christian nation,” according to the University of Maryland’s Critical Issues Poll.
Why would an unbeliever want what we have if we don’t offer them anything different than what the world offers?
“With admiration we recall her life-long sense of duty and dedication to her people. With thanksgiving we praise God for her constant example of Christian faith and devotion.”
Faith is not telling God the outcome and trusting Him to do it, it is trusting God in the outcome, and knowing He will walk us through it whatever that may be.
We were created specially by God for the sake of God’s own pleasure, and with that comes the greatest joy of being found in a specific and close relationship with Him.
