The Bible is full of pictures of God’s unrelenting, eternal faithfulness to His people. Having this personal experience with and understanding of the depth of His sovereignty only strengthens my faith and leads me to love and know Him more and more.
We work with greater purpose than ourselves or the next generation. We work unto the eternal glory of an infinite God. Diligence becomes the norm when we see that we work with such a great purpose.
Scripture is part of our defense against, and attack on, evil. When describing the armor of God, Ephesians 6:17 says, “…and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.”
The words we have chosen to use to describe God are both perfectly accurate and, at the same time, not enough to wholly depict Who God is.
Some may need to be reminded that the free gift of salvation is to be grasped with both hands, not with one hand still holding our idols.
Keep studying, keep returning to those pages, and watch how God will continue to shape and grow your mind and heart in a way that leads you closer to Him.
It was a good reminder that I should give all of my cares and fears and worries and concerns and sins to God. He always takes them. And He gives us rest, respite, peace and salvation in return.
