How many times do we do it? We speak up in faith and ask, knowing and believing God can do the impossible. But when the winds blow, we forget who He is.

How many times do we do it? We speak up in faith and ask, knowing and believing God can do the impossible. But when the winds blow, we forget who He is.
“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.” (Isaiah 43:18–19)
King Solomon says it well in Ecclesiastes 3:12, “I know that there is nothing better for people than to be happy and to do good while they live.” Make a choice of how you want to live this day. You never know who may benefit from your positive perspective.
One of my favorite things about church is praise and worship time. I love to sing and look across the sanctuary to see everyone celebrate the goodness of God in unison.
Jesus looked at the bigger picture. He knew Peter needed salvation and knew He was the only one who could provide it. Jesus’ view of this disappointing moment benefited Peter in a great way that completely changed his life.
I love getting together with people — having a nice dinner, shopping, anything really. It’s a great distraction from all of the responsibilities of life.
